Amber’s IBS 2019 Demos to Showcase Industry’s Smartest Circuit Breakers, GFCIs, Light Switches, Outlets and LEDs

-

(Las Vegas, NV / Dublin, Ca – Amber Solutions, Inc (Amber)—a disruptive technology startup company with breakthroughs in solid-state solutions for enhanced internet of things (IoT) integration into building automation, industrial control, lighting, home safety and security systems—today announced plans to showcase its groundbreaking technologies in a portfolio of smart products at the International Builder Show (IBS) 2019. The company’s product portfolio includes fully solid-state Outlets, Switches, GFCIs, Circuit Breakers and LED Bulbs.

At IBS, each demo will feature increased safety, reliability and energy efficiency from its solid-state architecture, integrated with expanded (e.g., 10x) IoT functions—and all uniquely within the same product-size footprint of today’s standard, electro-mechanical based smart products. Through Amber, intelligence is pervasive in every wall of a structure, delivering what can be considered a 5th Utility™ for homes and buildings, in addition to plumbing, gas, HVAC, and electrical.

Today’s AC/DC powered products are enabled by 70+ year old electrification technology, which is the industry standard globally. For example, todays smart products include advanced chipsets that sit side by side with this old-style electro mechanical architecture, leading to issues such as mechanical failure, safety issues and more.  Amber’s technology disrupts this landscape, enabling transformation from the old electro-mechanical standards to modern solid-state architecture, creating opportunity for much more IoT integration and intelligence than in current products. Amber’s unique and ubiquitous sensor, connectivity and control foundation, enables every IoT system—smart home, access control, fire control, HVAC, lighting and more—as well as standalone smart products to easily leverage this more robust IoT foundation, the new 5th Utility™ powered by Amber, for TRULY smarter, safer, more energy efficient homes and buildings.

“We are very excited to continue conversations at IBS with a number of leading industry manufacturers, builders and electrical service providers that began during our very successful Consumer Electronics Show last month,” said Thar Casey CEO and Co-Founder of Amber. “Over the past year, we made substantial advancements in both invention and productization of our technological breakthroughs. The result is a portfolio of products that are fully demonstratable and represent a major transformation for IoT infrastructure and an accelerator for IoT system adoption in residential and commercial markets, globally.”

At IBS 2019, Amber will demonstrate its core fundamental technologies in a private suite to key industry leaders. The company’s demos will feature solid-state architecture with no electro-mechanical parts, for enhanced safety, reliability, greater energy efficiency and with enhanced IoT. For example, Amber will demo its technology in a circuit breaker featuring programmability, power metering, remote wireless status reporting and alerts, single touch on/off, and remote wireless on/off – all in the current standard industry form factor, a retrofit.
