Odaptos improves its digital solution for understanding emotions !
France, July 2022 - Specializing in automated user testing, the French startup Odaptos has launched a solution that uses artificial intelligence to detect human emotions. Allowing for an in-depth understanding of the needs and behaviors of users of digital products, this innovation makes much easier the work of UX designers* who must carry out numerous interviews with users to improve their experience on websites and mobile app on iOS.

In order to improve the user experience of a website, UX Designers have to planify many interviews and interact with users so they can compile their emotions and actions. Essential to the success of a digital product, these tests are generally time consuming and expensive to conduct due to the time spent to manually analyze the data obtained.
To improve the analysis of these user tests (called UX tests), Odaptos has developed an artificial intelligence solution, capable of analyzing and recording in real time all the emotions and feelings of the people questioned about their experience on a website. A unique innovation intended, beyond large groups and design agencies, for young entrepreneurs from emerging startups.

Through Odaptos technology, it is possible to detect human emotions to deeply understand end-users' needs and behaviors on digital services. Constantly seeking for improvements, the startup has decided to integrated two new features this year :
The mobile app on iOS that offers the ability to test all mobile apps on iPhone with screen recording along with the user's reactions to their phone.
The identification of key moments that allows to target specific parts of the video in order to share the best moments with the teams and save time on the process.

This is confirmed by Coralie Lefevre, CEO of the French company DiappyMed, which offers an innovative solution to personalize the treatment of diabetics through a dedicated mobile application : ‘’ We chose Odaptos because we were looking for a solution capable of recovering real human information, quickly and precisely, without impacting our budget ’’.
A large market potential !
Only a few companies in France or in Europe have chosen to focus on the emotions and feelings of web users. Odaptos aims to become one of the first startups to mix Artificial Intelligence and emotion in order to support companies in a digital transformation that continues to evolve.
The startup differentiates itself through the use of "Machine Learning", relying on behavioral and emotion recognition from the people interviewed. Pricing also is very competitive : US$ 60.00 and US$ 120.00 per unit depending on the offer (30 min or 1 hour of interview) compared to solutions available today which are more expensive.
Several companies in California and Miami, as well as in France, have already expressed their interest in Odaptos solution. With over 200 million active sites and a global user testing market expected to reach $ 2 billion in 2024, Odaptos has a large potential to grow !
About Odaptos :
This french startup was created in August 2020 by Maximilien Joannides and Felipe Restrepo: the two co-founders met at Sorbonne University in Paris. The Covid crisis, with the extended use videoconferencing services, played a crucial role for the creation of their company. Supported by a team of incubators, professionals from the Montpellier BIC and Mines d'Alès, they were able, in one year, to develop the tool they needed and present it to Vivatech in 2021. Having received extremely positive feedback, Odaptos is already attracting its first customers. In order to accelerate the commercial launch and add new functionalities/features to the tool, the founders are in the process of raising funds by the end of the year so they can assemble their team of around 20 people by 2023.
Maximilien and Felipe participated in the Collision Event in Toronto and were able to meet 150 potential clients in UX Design. They are currently in NYC at the Occitania House 244-250 W 54th St, New York to meet agencies, incubators and accelerators to promote their solution.
