Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, UK — Specialist IoT solutions provider, Alliot Technologies has announced the launch of its new IoT Middleware platform, Symbius. Designed to remove the barriers to cellular IoT, Symbius is among the first platforms of its kind to decode recorded data into a common format.
Up until now, cellular IoT has been notoriously difficult to adopt with no common protocol in use. Different manufacturer’s devices will often transmit data in a variety of formats. This has proved a difficult hurdle to overcome. Symbius sits between NB-IoT and LTE-M sensors and the users’ dashboard, removing the need for any manual development work.

Now, with Symbius cellular IoT is much more accessible. The launch of Symbius completes Alliot’s cellular offering, making them the leading cellular IoT provider. Having announced their Vodafone partnership in late 2022, Symbius bolsters Alliot’s NB-IoT offering which can be bundled together to offer a competitive, fully supported plan.
