Combining IoT and SaaS, Digital Twin’s smart metering solution enables organizations to take back control of data (and billing relationship) which was previously held by third-party metering companies.
For real estate asset managers, the ability to analyze data and make predictive decisions about the usage of utilities in real-time (water, gas, electricity, diesel, and increasingly solar energy) from their tenants has, until now, been impossible as all data was collected and managed by third-party metering providers, meaning that billing charges for utilities were effectively a ‘closed shop’ or vendor locked.
Digital Twin breaks this cycle by empowering real estate managers with an end-to-end smart metering solution for real-time decision making;
- a full stack data communications gateway back into the business, collecting data from the meter via the DLMS (Secure), Modbus and M-bus,
- data is then transferred to the business using u-Blox’s Thingstream secure communications-as-a-service platform (up time is guaranteed irrelevant of available local mobile operator),
- data can be ingested, interrogated via Digital Twin’s management console for real time notifications and operational intelligence. Real estate asset managers can then pass the data to a billing provider of choice.
