Shenzhen China – May 26, 2021 – Fibocom (Stock Code: 300638), a leading global provider of IoT (Internet of Things) wireless solution and wireless communication modules, introduced its 5G module FM160 powered by the Snapdragon X65 and X62 5G Modem-RF Systems to the global IoT market.
Featuring 3GPP Release 16 capabilities, Fibocom’s FM160 wireless module is powered by the world’s most advanced 5G modem-RF solutions – the Snapdragon X65 and X62 5G Modem-RF Systems – with new 5G M.2 form factor. FM160 can be widely applied in IIoT (Industrial IoT), FWA (Fixed Wireless Access), 4K/8K live streaming, telemedicine, and other mass data scenarios.

With lightning data transmission speeds up to 10Gbps, three modes of CA (Carrier Aggregation) combinations including FDD+TDD, TDD+TDD, FDD+FDD, Fibocom’s FM160 module supports global frequency bands of 5G SA/ENDC/4G. The module also comes with dynamic antenna tuning and next-generation software algorithm.

On May 19th, 2021, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. announced the Snapdragon X65 and X62 5G M.2 Reference Designs with the goal of popularizing 5G across various industries.
