Seasoned Sales & Marketing Professional to Help Lead Company’s Growth in IoT Space
Warminister, PA (May 21, 2021) CalChip Connect (CCC) announced the promotion of Benjamin Friend to the company’s Vice President of Marketing and E-Commerce. CalChip Connect is a leading distributor and value-added service provider of IoT devices.
In this new position, Friend will oversee the company’s digital marketing program, supplier engagement and relationship marketing, sales initiatives, and all activity revolving around the company’s e-commerce platform. He joined the company in 2020 as Strategic Account Manager handling sales and key account management and soon after was promoted to this new position. As the company continues to experience record growth, management saw a need to move Friend into a high-level position because of his keen ability to manage marquee partners and their individual business and IoT needs. “Ben’s finely honed relationship skills along with his deep knowledge in this space made it a natural decision to promote him,” said Thomas Rancour, President, CalChip Connect.
Prior to joining CCC, Friend served as Logistics Specialist for Green Global Transport, working closely with the company’s premier customers to ensure quality and on-time delivery. Prior to that, he started and operated his own inbound marketing agency as Co-Founder and CEO of TRUSTinbound Marketing Group, where he oversaw the company’s digital marketing strategy and helped clients build their brands. He has deep knowledge in the CBD product space, as this was the primary niche for his inbound marketing agency and with his experience as Marketing Specialist for SteeepFuze CBD Coffee and Tea company. His forte is in sales and the science behind it, having achieved the title of National Sales Training Specialist II at Total Quality Logistics as well as Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Local Choice Inc.

Friend has both his master’s and his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, specializing in Marketing from Saint Leo University.
